Former California State Senator Mark Leno, who has know Kevin for many years, issued a statement on December 1.
I first met Kevin when he was working on his documentary and I was in the state legislature. As he was a constituent of mine, I had an interest in his film project. Kevin was always gracious and professional in our interactions. I found him to be gentle, honest, empathetic and community minded. Recently, we crossed paths in the neighborhood when he was out with his daughter. Kevin is clearly a proud father.
